My vision for Pura Vida is to create wellness retreats and spaces for creatives who, like me, struggle to slow down. It's a place to find productive rest, connect with a community, discover nature, step out of your comfort zone, and enjoy time with like-minded people.
Pura Vida is a phrase I learned while traveling in Costa Rica. It means Pure Life - a greeting, a goodbye, a thank you, and a way of life that embodies positivity, gratitude, and well-being. It resonated with me and has guided my journey ever since.

For years, my work life was nonstop, and I felt guilty taking breaks. But through yoga, cold water swimming, and time outdoors, I found true respite. I created Pura Vida to share these experiences with others who also find it hard to switch off in the interconected phydigital world that is our life.
In my 9-5 I’m a social media strategist for top global brands, and during my 5-9 I teach yoga, host wellness events, and train aspiring yoga teachers.
It’s through these experiences that I met my collaborators. We partner with incredible businesses and creatives who enrich the Pura Vida experience and bring joy and inspiration.
I was tired of seeing wellness retreats that felt exclusive and lacking in diversity. Wellness is and should be for everyone, and our retreats reflect that.
